Question 869730
write the equation of the circle

center (4,-2)
containing the point (-4,13)

can someone explain please
<pre>
STEP 1
Plug the center coordinate (h, k) and the point that the circle passes through into the center-radius form
of the equation of a circle, or in {{{(x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2}}}. This will give you the value of the radius, squared, or {{{r^2}}}

STEP 2
Plug the center coordinate, and {{{r^2}}} into the center-radius form of the equation of a circle and you will have the
equation of a circle, in center-radius form.
It's a s simple as that!!

You then do a check!!

If you need a complete and detailed solution, let me know!!
