Question 866368
What does each symbol in the 8s x 1/4 mean? Is it, {{{8s*(1/4)}}}? We need more information to understand how s is related to either or both dimensions.

Using w for width and L for length, the formula for perimeter is {{{2*w+2*L}}}, which can also be expressed {{{2*(w+L)}}}.

As I spend some time thinking about the symbols, the "x" seems to be "multiplication"; and you might be able to test of the answer choices to see which one, when applying the perimeter formula, gives you the 8s(1/4) result.

{{{cross(Quick mental check seems to suggest choice D)}}}.
(More careful calculation on paper showed that none of the choices is correct.)
