Question 855271
Based on weather forecast, it is observed that 30% of the days of the year (maxium daily) temperature is less than 15°C.
--------
Also, 10% of the days of the year it rains and the temperature is less than 15°C.
--------------------------------
i) Taking into consideration only the facts that they refer to the temperature that is less than 15°C, what is the percentage of the days that it was raining?
Ans: P(rain | < 15 degrees) = P(rain ANS <15 deg)/P(15 deg) = 0.10/0.30 = 1/3
-------------------------------------

ii) If the percentage of the raining days of the year is 20%, then what's the probability that the temperature is less than 15°C in a raining day?
P(<15 AND rainy) = 0.20*0.30 = 0.06
