Question 71815

{{{f(x) = 5x^2 - 3x +1}}}
.
"Find f(-2)" just tells you to go to f(x) and substitute (-2) for every x. When you do you
get:
.
{{{f(-2) = 5(-2)^2 - 3(-2) + 1}}}
.
This reduces to:
.
{{{f(-2) = (5*4)- (-6) + 1}}}
.
{{{f(-2) = 20 + 6 + 1}}}
.
{{{f(-2) = 27}}}
.
That's all there is to it. Hope this helps you with other problems of this type.
