Question 70939
 how would you solve this equation? logx5=1/4
Is this log base x of 5 = 1/4? (The x would be smaller and lower)
If so, rewrite it as an exponential function.
{{{x^(1/4)=5}}}
x= the fourth root of 5
x= approximately 1.495348781
:
If this is the common log of x to the 5th power, the x would be normal sized and the 5 would be smaller and higher.
{{{log(x^5)=1/4}}}
{{{5log(x)=1/4}}}
{{{(1/5)(5log(x))=(1/5)(1/4)}}}
{{{log(x)=1/20}}}
{{{x=10^(1/20)}}}
x= approximately 1.122018454
I'm sorry that I can't be sure what you meant, I hope this helped.
Happy Calculating!!!!
