Question 837353
Math really does not change alot as you say it does. GED from 1985 might have been too brief and you could have not kept the skills for very long after earning the GED test credit.

The problem you present, "-2+ 7/3 = 8/3 x=", is not well written and has no clear meaning. The best I can figure, is you are trying to solve the equation:
{{{-2+ 7/3 = (8/3) x}}}.

You would likely be in either Pre-Algebra or Algebra 1. In case you are actually in Algebra 1, you can learn the needed topics within the course; but another option is to choose Pre-Algebra to study first.
