Think of the graph of y = 3.  It is a horizontal line through the point +3 on the y-axis.

Sketch a picture of that to help you visualize the graph.  Notice that no matter what value
you select, the corresponding value of y is always on the line and is always equal to +3.

But the problem tells you that y is always greater than +3.  Therefore, values that y
can be are in the region above the graph of y = +3.  That being the case, you can shade 
in the entire area above the line (but not including the line) all the way from as far as 
you could ever go to the left to as far as you could ever go to the right.  Then you can say 
that values of y that satisfy the inequality {{{y > 3}}} are in this great big shaded area 
(but not on the line graph of {{{y = 3}}}).
