Question 832783

I need you to solve these systems by substitution

Y=0.5x+2
-y=-2x+4<pre>
If it's    y = 0.5x + 2 ------ eq (i), and
         - y = - 2x + 4 ------ eq (ii), then:
- (0.5x + 2) = - 2x + 4 ----- Substituting 0.5x + 2 for y in eq (ii)
  - 0.5x - 2 = - 2x + 4
 - 0.5x + 2x = 4 + 2
        1.5x = 6
           {{{x = 6/1.5}}}, or {{{highlight_green(x = 4)}}}

          y = 0.5(4) + 2 ------ Substituting 4 for x in eq (i)
          y = 2 + 2, or {{{highlight_green(y = 4)}}}
You can do the check!!
