<pre><font size = 5><b>A man passes one-ninth of his life in
childhood, one-twelfth in youth, and
one- third in a childless marriage. But after
ten years of marriage, the couple had a
child. After attaining one-fourth of her
fathers life, the chaos of seemingly
random universe of took the child, leaving
the man to spend his last 6 years solving
algebraic word problems. WHat is the man's
final age?

You can ignore everything but these words:

A man passes.....one-third (of his life) in
a childless marriage. But after ten years
of marriage, the couple had a child.

Let L = his final age, i.e., his life in years.

(1/3)L = 10

 Multiply both sides by 3

     L = 90

The rest doesn't matter, The man's final age
is 90.
