Question 830503
Katrina needs 3/5 kilogram of flour for a recipe.  Her  mother has 3/7 kilogram in her pantry.  Is this
enough flour to make the recipe  If not, how much more will she need?<pre>
Amount of flour needed: {{{3/5}}} kg = {{{3(7)/5(7)}}} = {{{21/35}}} kg ------- Multiplying by common denominator, 35

Amount of flour she has: {{{3/7}}} kg = {{{3(5)/7(5)}}} = {{{15/35}}} kg ------- Multiplying by common denominator, 35

As seen, she doesn't have enough flour.

She'll need {{{21/35 - 15/35}}}, or {{{highlight_green(6/35)}}} kg more.

You can do the check!!
