Question 828799
you look at the factors of the numerator and denominator.

 example 1
{{{2/4}}}
The factors of 2 are 2 and 1. The factors of 4 are 2 and 2.
{{{(1*2)/(2*2)}}}
there is a 2 on the top and bottom so it cancels out and reduces the factor to {{{1/2}}} because 1 is left over on the top and 2 is left over on the bottom.

example 2
{{{35/15}}}
The factors of 35 are 7 and 5. The factors of 15 are 3 and 5.
{{{(7*5)/(3*5)}}}
there is a 5 on top and on bottom so these cancel out. It is reduced to {{{7/3}}} because there is a 7 left on top and a 5 on the bottom.
