Question 70056
What kind of calculator do you have? I use the TI 83,84,85, or 86. To graph a line, you basically have to solve for y in terms of x. Some calculators will allow you to graph the shaded areas and some will not. However, when it comes to graphing x>1, the line x=1 is a vertical line, which you really can't graph by ordinary methods, since you can't solve for y. For that one, you just have to know that x=1 is a vertical line, and x>1 is everything to the RIGHT of the vertical line, and x<1 is everthing to the LEFT of the vertical line.
