{{{ x^4-1 }}}.......you can write {{{x^4}}} as {{{(x^2)^2}}} and {{{1}}} as {{{1^4= (1^2)^2}}} 

{{{(x^2)^2-(1^2)^2}}}...now use  the "difference of squares" formula

{{{ (x^2-1^2)(x^2+1^2) }}} ......use the "difference of squares" formula ones again

{{{ (x-1)(x+1)(x^2+1) }}}
