Question 825573
<pre>

Hi, there--

THE PROBLEM:
Evaluate a^2-b divided by 3 for a=-9 and b=-6

A SOLUTION:
I made the assumption that you expression looks like this:

{{{(a^2-b)/3}}}

You would type this as (a^2-b)/3 to show that everything is divided by 3. The way you typed
it, only b is divided by 3. If you have a different expression, let me know and I'll help you sort
it out.

To evaluate {{{(a^2-b)/3}}}, substitute -9 for a and -6 for b.
{{{((-9)^2-(-6))/3=(81+6)/3=29}}}

Hope this helps!
