Question 823649
{{{4(1/x)}}}, four times the reciprocal of the number x. That much was good.

"{{{(5/2)}}} times the reciprocal of that number", too imprecise. WHAT number? Are you given enough to drop pronoun and put in what it really means?

Only my best guess, {{{(5/2)(1/x)}}}, Five-halves times the reciprocal of "that" number.

3 more than 5/2 times the reciprocal of that number, {{{3+(5/2)(1/x)}}}.

Best understanding is that your description takes the form of the equation,
{{{4(1/x)=(5/2)(1/x)+3}}} and you want to solve the equation for x.  Slightly simpler way to show this is {{{4/x=5/(2x)+3}}}
