On my worksheet it says, You are making a sign. 
The length is 10 times the width. The area of the sign is 39 sq.ft. 
What is the width. 
area=length*width
 39=w(10w) 
 39=w^2*10   |Good Work
  3.9 = w^2
 {{{sqrt(3.9)}}} = w = 1.9748ft (rounding off as directed)
