Question 818409

Solve
 √(2x+1)+  √(x+4) = 3

Thank you so much in advance:)

<pre>

When solved, {{{highlight(x = 60)}}}, or {{{highlight(x = 0)}}}, but since {{{highlight(x = 60)}}} is an extraneous solution, then {{{highlight_green(x = 0)}}} (see graph below)
is the sole solution.

{{{graph(800, 800, -10, 10, -10, 10, sqrt(2x + 1) + sqrt(x + 4) - 3)}}}
You can do the check!!
