Question 815667

I've been working on a Thanksgiving break assignment, and just recently came across a problem I can't to remember how to solve. I need to explain how to write a function with a zero of .5. Any help would be really wonderful as I just can not remember learning this, and my note book doesn't seem to have any good information on it inside either. Thanks in advance.
