Question 68863
SOFTWARE SALES Three software applications are priced as shown on the table. ( I'll give the table at the end of the problem) Spreedsheet and database programs sold in equal numbers, but 15 more word processing applications were sold than the other two combined. if the three applications generated sales of $72,000, how many spreedsheets were sold? ..........Table is as follows.............

Software        Price

Spreedsheet      $150

Database         $195

Word Processing  $210

I tried to work the problem for about an hour. This is what I tried.
150X (spreedsheet)+ 195X (database)+ 210(2X + 15)= 72,000
150x + 195x + 420x + 3150 = 72,000
765x = 68850
x=90
----------
You forgot to multiply the number of word processors by $210.
