Question 813173
Bob is 25 years younger than his father and 27 years older than his son. What are their ages. The sum must total 100.

Father
Bob
Son

Let Bob's father's age be F

Then Bob's age = F - 25

Bob's son's age: F - 25 - 27, or F - 52

All ages total 100, so: F + F - 25 + F - 52 = 100

3F - 77 = 100

3F = 177

F, or Bob's father's age = {{{177/3}}}, or {{{highlight_green(59)}}}

Bob's age: 59 - 25, or {{{highlight_green(34)}}}

Bob's son's age: 34 - 27, or {{{highlight_green(7)}}}

You can do the check!!
