Question 807695
um... somthing is lost in ur translation of the problem as this reads -6 divided by 1 divided by 4 which is -6/4 which is -3/2=n
and -7/1/3 => -7/1=-7 then -7/3=m
to solve this you would have to set them as proportionate to each other
when n=-3/2 then m=-7/3
so -3/2 is to -7/3 as 2 is to m
{{{(-3/2)/(-7/3)=2/m}}}
cross multiply
{{{2(-7/3)=(-3/2)m}}}
{{{-14/3=-3m/2}}}
multiply both sides by a common denominator the fastest is what the two denominators multiply together to make which in this case 3 times 2 is 6
also since both numbers are negative and we want a positive m answer make it a -6

{{{(14/cross(-3))(cross(-3)*2)=(3m/cross(-2))(3*cross(-2))}}}
{{{28=9m}}}
{{{28/9=m}}}
{{{3.1111=m}}}
