Slope is a real number scalar or a vector that represents the rate of change of a mathematical function. Unit rate is a measurement using specified units, generally a measurement quantity per unit time, that represents the rate of change of a physical phenomenon.  Unit rate can also be a scalar, such as speed, or a vector, such as velocity or acceleration.


In short, the difference is whether or not you have something like "miles per hour" tacked on the end.
