The sum of the measures of 1 and 2 is 180 by defn of linear pair.  The sum of 2 and 3 is 180 by defn linear pair.  So m1 + m2 = m2 + m3 by reflexive equality and substitution.  Add -m2 to both sides:  Addition property of equality.
m1 = m3 by algebra.  Q.E.D.
