Both equations have the expression, {{{x^2+y^2}}}.  That might be interesting to try to use, but a more direct path to a solution could be this:


Convert each equation to standard form.  Identify the center of each circle.  The tangency point is located somewhere on the line which connects the centers of the two circles.


I have not worked through all this yet, but maybe it would be enough for you to find a solution.
