Question 790690
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

What is the "compliment" of an angle? Is that something nice the angle says to or about someone? Or is it something nice someone says about the angle, such as "Gee, you are a cute angle!"

If what you really meant to say was that the measures of an angle and its complement differ by 22 degrees, you can say that one angle measures *[tex \Large x] and the other measures *[tex \Large x\ -\ 22], then, since the sum of the measures of two complementary angles is 90 degrees, you can say:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ x\ +\ x\ -\ 22\ =\ 90]

Sove for *[tex \Large x] then calculate *[tex \Large x\ -\ 22].
