Question 788447
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

Let *[tex \Large x] represent the first of the three consecutive even integers. Then *[tex \Large x\ +\ 2] must be the next one, and *[tex \Large x\ +\ 4] has to be the one after that.

Three times the smallest is *[tex \Large 3x] and four more than twice the largest is *[tex \Large 2(x\ +\ 4)\ +\ 4]. "Is" means equals, so:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 3x\ =\ 2(x\ +\ 4)\ +\ 4]

Solve for *[tex \Large x].  Then calculate *[tex \Large x\ +\ 2] and *[tex \Large x\ +\ 4]
