Question 67096
SIMPLIFY THIS EXPRESSION

1/y - 1/y-3
----------
The denominators are different so you need a "least common denominator" (lcd)
--------
Rewrite each fraction with the lcd as its denominator.
The lcd=y(y-3)
----------------
=(y-3)/lcd - y/lcd

=Combine the numerators over the lcd as follows:

=[y-3-y]/lcd

Simplify to get:

=-3/[y(y-3)]
or
=-3/[y^2-3y]
