That would depend a great deal on the definition and nature of the sequence in question.  In general, the 100th term of a sequence is *[tex \LARGE a_{100}\ \ \ ] and the *[tex \LARGE n] th term is *[tex \LARGE a_n].  Name or give the first few terms of a sequence, and perhaps I can help find a rule that fits.
