Question 778342

Find an angle such that three times the angle is equal to the sum of its supplement and complement. Thank you.

Let angle's measure be A

Then its supplement = 180 - A, and its complement = 90 - A

Therefore, 3A = 180 - A + 90 - A

3A = 270 - 2A

3A + 2A = 270

5A = 270

A, or measure of angle = {{{270/5}}}, or {{{highlight_green(54^o)}}}

You can do the check!!
