Question 776309

Flying with the wind a plane went 183 km/h. Flying into the same wind the plane only went 141km/h. Find the speed of the plane in still air and the speed of the wind. So far I've tried making a table, but I didn't know what columns were needed and I don't think it's a D=RT problem. I also thought maybe converting km/h to mph might be helpful, but so far it hasn't been. Your help would be greatly appreciated and I want to thank you for tutoring us kids/teens for free :)

Speed of plane in still air = {{{highlight_green(162)}}} km/h

Speed of wind = {{{highlight_green(21)}}} km/h
