Question 774814
I'm having trouble with this equation: (x-5)/2 + (1/2)=2x-(x-3)/8
===================================================================
first let's put the numerators on either side of the = over a common denominator
(x-5+1) / 2  =  (16x - (x-3)) /8
(x-4) / 2  = (15x + 3) / 8
now cross multiply the fractions
8x -32 = 30x +6

-22x = 38
x = -38/22
x = -19/11
