Are the slopes equal and the *[tex \LARGE y]-intercepts not equal?  If the slopes are equal, then the lines that are the graphs of the solution sets of the two equations are either parallel or the same line.  If given equal slopes, the *[tex \LARGE y]-intercepts are the same point, then they are the same line, otherwise they are parallel.
