Question 765836
FIND THE SLOPE

{{{(4-(-1))/(-2-3)=(5/(-5))=-1}}}
Slope, m, is negative one.
{{{m=-1}}}

FORMULATE THE EQUATION CONTAINING THE TWO POINTS

Various ways to do this, but here is using slope-intercept form.
{{{y=mx+b}}}
{{{y-mx=b}}}
{{{b=y-mx}}}
Take either given point. Here is using (3,-1).
{{{b=-1-(-1)*3=-1+3=2}}}
{{{highlight(b=2)}}}

Equation is {{{highlight(y=-x+2)}}}

AXIS INTERCEPTS

Just found the y-intercept done above, (0,2), the y-intercept.

When y=0,
0=-x+2
x=2, yes, the same value as the y intercept.
x-intercept is (2,0)
