Question 765693
A function relates an input (domain) to an output (range)
=================================================================
1a) f(x) = x/6, domain is any number and the range is any number
1b) each number x is related to x/6 and each x of the set of all numbers is related to EXACTLY ONE number (x/6) in the set of all numbers. This makes f(x) a function. Remember "exactly one" means that a function is single valued, it will not give back 2 or more results for the same input.

2a) f(x) = 3x +15, domain is any number and the range is any number.
2b) each number x is related to 3x+15 and each x of the set of all numbers is related to EXACTLY ONE number (3x+15) in the set of all numbers. This makes f(x) a function. Remember "exactly one" means that a function is single valued, it will not give back 2 or more results for the same input.
