Question 65684
sqrt 12x^3/5
---------
Whenever you are asked to simplify roots you should break the
problem into two factors. The 1st should be a power of the root
you are looking for. The 2nd should be the factors that do not
meet that criteria.
So for your problem
Sqrt(12) = sqrt(4*3)=2sqrt3
sqrt(x^3)= sqrt(x^2*x)=xsqrtx
You get:
=(2x)sqrt(3x/5)
or
=(2/5)xsqrt(15x)
