Question 761915
Our teacher's asked us to make the slope intercept form of this and make a graph: x + y = -7
I've tried to answer and this is what Ive done: m = -1 and y= -7
Am I correct? Can anyone help me? Thanks.

x + y = -7

Subtract x from each side of the equation:

x + y - x = -7 - x

Combine like terms:

x - x = 0

-7 - 1x = -1x - 7

Slope intercept form:

y = mx + b

Therefore:

y = -1x - 7

Answer:

Slope = -1 and

y-intercept of the line is -7
