Question 757077
Note that 50% + 25% + 25% = 100%. This is sometimes called weighting factors. For example your grade on the final carries the most weight of 50% so you want to do the best you can on it. However, even if you got 100% on your final, it only contributes 50 points to your overall grades.
Here how it works.
Let FG = your final class grade
Let FT = your grade on your final test
Let PG = your grade on the projet
Let OP = your grade on other projects
Then
(1) FG = 50%*(FT) + 25%*(FG) + 25%*(OP)
Now put in the grades you recieved into (1) and get
(2) FG = 0.5*(67/100) + 0.25*(90/100) + 0.25*(42/50) or
(3) FG = 0.5*0.67 + 0.25*0.90 + 0.25*0.84 or
(4) FG = 0.335 + 0.225 + 0.21 or
(5) FG = 0.77 or
(6) FG = 77%
Answer: Your final class grade is 77%.
