Question 756739
The reference angle is a commonly known angle. What is the angle which has a sine of {{{1/sqrt(2)}}}?

What you are trying to say as Sin^-1(1/sqrt root 2) is the same as arcsin(1/sqrt(2)).

{{{(1/sqrt(2))*(sqrt(2)/sqrt(2))=sqrt(2)/2}}}

Your answer which you give is not wrong; it is simply incomplete. {{{(3*pi)/4}}} AND {{{pi/4}}} each have this same sine. Both are in the range specified in the question.
