 To simplify the above problem, you have to distribute. That means that you have to multiply 3x to each one of the terms in the parenthesis:


(3x*3x)-(3x*2y)+(3x*3)


9x^2-6xy+9x


It reads: Nine x squared minus six x y plus nine x.


This cannot be simplified any further since there are no like terms left.
