Question 65093
Use unit multipliers to convert 10 cubic meters to cubic inches
1 m = 3.281 ft
12 in = 1 ft
Therefore: {{{3.281ft/1m=1}}} and {{{12in/1ft=1}}}.
{{{10m^3*((3.281ft)^3/(1m^3))*((12in)^3/(1ft)^3)}}}
{{{10m^3(35.31983704ft^3/m^3)*(1728in^3/ft^3)}}}
{{{10cross(m^3)(35.31983704cross(ft^3)/cross(m^3))*(1728in^3/cross(ft^3))}}}
{{{10*(35.31983704)*(1728)in^3}}}
{{{610326.7841in^3}}}
This can vary depending on the decimal value of your unit multiplier and where you round it off, I also got 610237.4in^3 from my TI-83 Silver edition unit conversion application.
Note, if you are to limit yourself to significant figures you get 600000in^3 in both cases.
Happy Calculating!!!
