Question 745502
equation slope plotting

for lines we have the following form

y = mx + b

note that b is the y intercept, that is the point (0, b) and

x = (y - b) / m  gives us the x intercept when y = 0

now m is the slope which is y/x

m tells us for any point on the line you can move y units and then x units to a point on the line
