Question 744063
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

Work term by term. Substitute -2 for x, then raise to the indicated power. Remember, if the value of the variable being raised to an odd power is negative, then the result will be negative, otherwise the result is positive. Once you have the value of the variable raised to the indicated power, multiply by the coefficient. Write down that result and then go on to the next term. Hint: Only two of the terms come out to be a negative values in the end, thosse terms being 9x and -1.

Here's another hint:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 2^1\ =\ 2]

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 2^2\ =\ 4]

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 2^3\ =\ 8]

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 2^4\ =\ 16]

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 2^5\ =\ 32]
