Question 741803
Hi,

Writing answers in standard form depends on what you are doing with polynomials.

If you are graphing, which is usually where this terminology is used, Standard Form is Ax + By = C, where A, B & C are integers and the leading coefficient "A" is never negative. Some instructors are ok with it being negative, but it just depends on the person.

Standard form for a quadratic equation is ax^2 + bx + c = 0, if you are solving and without 0 if you are factoring.

Hope this helps.
