Question 728306

To see if an ordered pair is a solution to an inequality, plug it into the inequality and simplify. If you get a true statement, then the ordered pair is a solution to the inequality. If you get a false statement, then the ordered pair is not a solution.

WHAT is YOUR inequality??????????????????? you didn't post your inequality!

here is an example to see how to do that:

let the inequality be {{{y < 4x + 4}}}

A:) (0,0).......{{{0 < 4*0 + 4}}}..=>..{{{0<4}}}...true..=>..the ordered pair is a solution to the inequality
B:) (1,-3).......{{{-3<4*1 + 4}}}...=>.{{{-3<8}}}..=>.. true...the ordered pair is a solution to the inequality
C:) (3,-2).......{{{-2<4*3+4}}}..=>{{{-2<16}}} true..=>..the ordered pair is a solution to the inequality
D:) (-3,4).......{{{4<-3*4+4}}}..=>..{{{4<-8}}}...not true..=>..the ordered pair is not a solution
