Since you know that you have a 3 and a 9 and there are no cards with 0, it is not possible for you to have a total of 12, hence you must have a total of 16.  3 plus 9 is 12 plus 4 is 16, so your cards are 3, 4, and 9.  Too bad you didn't figure this out before Andy spoke up and won the game.
