Question 714933
How do you multiply radicals? For example -4radical15 multiplyed by -radical3
--------
If by radical you mean square root:
{{{-4sqrt(15)*(-1)sqrt(3)}}}
Multiply what's outside and what's inside
= {{{4*sqrt(15*3) = 4sqrt(45)}}}
------
= {{{4sqrt(9)*sqrt(5)}}}
= {{{12sqrt(5)}}}
---------------------
The indices have to be the same.
You can't mix square roots and cube roots, eg.
