i want to make a gallon of lemonade. I know that one lemon weighs 6 ounces and yields a quarter cup of juice, I need to use a ratio table to calculate how many lemons i will need to make a gallon of lemonade.

There are 16 cups in a gallon.
There are 4*16 = 64 quarter cups in a gallon.

Proportion:
x oz/64 q cup = 6 oz/1 q cup

x = 64*6/1
---
x = 384 ounces of lemon or 64 lemons
