Question 711227
(2x+1)[(x+3)(3x-1)]
--------------------
Multiply out the binomial within the brackets first:
{{{(2x+1)(3x^2+8x-3)}}}
Next, multiply through the (2x+1) term:
{{{6x^3+3x^2+16x^2+8x-6x-3}}}
Combine like terms and you are done:
{{{highlight(6x^3+19x^2+2x-3)}}}
--------------------
(2x+y)^2 (y squared)
--------------------
I am not sure what this means... is it this?
{{{((2x+y)^2)y^2}}}
If so... Square the binomial first:
{{{(4x^2+4xy+y^2)*y^2}}}
Multiply though the y^2 term:
{{{highlight(4x^2y^2+4xy^3+y^4)}}}
There are no like terms to combine, so you are done (assuming the original expression is right!)
