If *[tex \LARGE \alpha] is a root of a polynomial equation, then *[tex \LARGE x\ -\ \alpha] is a factor of the polynomial.  Use your two roots to create two binomial factors and then FOIL them to get the desired quadratic polynomial.  Don't forget to set the whole mess equal to zero.
