Question 707204
There's a slight problem...

The area of the table is 4*2 = 8 square units (replace "units" with "inches", "feet", etc...whatever unit you're using)

The area of the circular hole is approximately A = pi*r^2 = 3.14*3^2 = 28.26 square units.

The problem is this: if the hole is a circle and it's a hole in the rectangular table, then shouldn't the hole have a smaller area than the rectangular table? The area of the circle should be less (since the circular hole is smaller than the table)

There has to be a typo somewhere. Please double check the numbers and let me know if there is one or not. Thanks.
